Octopus Energy Daikin Heat Pump Installation - Day 2
The day has finally come for our Daikin Altherma 4kW (EDLA04E2V3) heat pump to be installed. The whole process has been managed by Octopus Energy. The plan for day two is, drain down the old system and install the new tank. Hot water will be provided by the new tank via the immersion. The Octopus engineers have put down complete floor coverings. Below is the cupboard before the new tank was installed.
We hit one issue today. If you look at the picture above you will see a red isolator switch. This is for the solar and it couldn’t be moved. This meant one of the tanks will need to go in the loft. This is not an issue, just a change of plan. You will see more about this later in the week. You can see below where the pipes and the electrical have been run to the loft.
The tank has a temporary immersion running from a main socket so that we have hot water tonight.
