February's Solar Generation Numbers

Here is the overview for February 2023

I was happy with the generation for February. Some days were very good for this time of year

The worst generation day was the 12th with only 2 kWh and the best was the 26th when 10.9 kWh was generated

The pie chart below is the total generation for February. Some of the battery came from the Octopus Agile overnight charging. More on that at the bottom of this post

Overview for February

Generation and usage statistics

The graph below shows the generation each day

Daily generation and usage graphs

The graphs below show the generation split between the front and back panels

Front panel production

Back panel production. The back is improving, but still needs to get higher in the sky and above the neighbours houses. Some really good days. Certainly getting better

Octopus Agile

The cost shown here do not include the standing charge. Any comparisons are compared to the until cost if we were not on Octopus Agile, which is 35.06p per kWh

For the month of February the average unit cost Octopus Agile was 30p per kWh

Our electricity cost for February was £66.43 compared to £93.20 on the the standard tariff, this is a saving of £26.78 comparing Agile to the standard tariff. The solar generated £60.16 using the standard until rate of 35.060p per kWh

We have been charging the battery each night using the cheapest overnight Agile slots. The average cost of the overnight slots was 23p per kWh. The cheapest slot was 10.542p per kWh the most expensive slot was 30.53p per kWh

The percentage of our electricity generated by the solar panels for February was 44%
