October Solar Generation and Export Numbers
Here is the overview for October 2023. The clocks went back to GMT in the UK on the 29th of October. The evenings were already getting much shorter and the west/north facing panels generated much less
This is the first full month with the extra 3.2 kWh battery. The battery used more than the solar produced. This was due to more overnight charging being used. More on that at the bottom of this post
The worst generation day was the 20th with only 1.6 kWh. The best was the 15th when 12.3 kWh was generated.
The best export day was the 6th with 5.7 kWh
The graph below is the total generation for October compared to the rest of the year.

The graph below shows the generation for each day

Octopus Agile
The costs shown here do include the standing charge. Any comparisons are compared to the unit cost if we were not on Octopus Agile, which is 28.10p per kWh. This is the new unit cost after the price cap took affect. The standing charge is 0.3730p
For the month of October the average unit cost Octopus Agile Import was 10.87p. We are no long on the Agile Export tariff. The export unit cost was a static 15p
Our best export day by cost was the 6th with £0.89
Our electricity cost from the grid for October was £47.23 compared to £101.86 on the standard tariff, this is a saving of £62.28 comparing Agile to the standard tariff once the export is also added
The solar generated £74.77 using the standard unit rate of 28.10p per kWh
In total we exported 42.5 kWh and made £7.65
This month we used 142 half hour slots, 11 of those slots were plunge pricing slots. As mentioned above, we now have an extra 3.2 kWh batter to charge. The average cost of the overnight slots used was 11p per kWh. The cheapest slot was --4.410p per kWh the most expensive slot was 25.158p per kWh.
The percentage of our electricity generated by the solar panels for October was 57%. We generated 226.1 kWh compared to the house consumption of 466.3 kWh. Some of that house consumption includes the Solar iBoost. That used 0.06 kWh of the solar we produced.
The best profit day was the 6th. We made 33p. Import cost was 57p, the export was £0.89
